Sinus Exposure

Special Instructions:

Sometimes the roots of the upper teeth enter into the sinus cavity.  When the tooth is removed, it leaves an opening between the mouth and sinus cavity.  Because of this opening, you may experience nose bleeds or water entering your nose when you drink.  It is necessary for you to follow the instructions listed below:

  1. Do not blow your nose until your are instructed it is okay.
  2. Take all medications (antibiotics and a decongestant) as prescribed until finished. (We recommend Mucinex D as a decongestant.)
  3. If you have any questions please call our office.
